JoAnn's finally had pillowforms on sale 50% off this week, so I went yesterday and bought seven. :) I did four for the living room...three in the same fabric as the curtains...and one in red for the big brown recliner....I thought the red would be less girly...but some people think the red is more of a pink...so who knows! :) And I did three for the bedroom...the two turquoise-y colored ones and I recycled my owl purse into a pillow. I loved that purse and carried it long after the lining had started to give way, and when Jenny got me a new owl purse for my birthday I decided to recycle the old one into a pillow. He's pretty cute, huh? :) I think so!

I decided to just lump all the rest into one big blog post. :) After finishing the cushions all I had to do was put the back/sides and bottom back on. I stapled the piping along the edges of the arm and then used a tacking strip along the top of the back/arms for a clean edge. After I got the top connected I flipped the couch and stapled the fabric to the bottom...then all I had to do was the hand-stitching. That was the only really hard part of the whole thing...I could only do a few stitches at a time, because my fabric is a micro-suede, so it's really tightly woven and hard to push the needle through. I pinned the fronts of the arms how I wanted them and then stitched it right up. After finishing those I flipped it again and stapled the dust cloth back onto the bottom and voila! :) I am happy with the way it turned out...but kinda sad it's all over. I still have to do my throw pillows...but I feel like my big project is all finished and I have no challenge left! Oh well...I'll have to find another project! :)

Thursday I finally made my first successful purchase from craigslist! :) Back in September or so when we were getting ready to move we had emailed about a couple of things on there...but it was always too late, but last week I finally had success, I bought this TV stand. :) We are really pleased with it.

I also had my heart broken. :( By the time I talked my hubby into letting me get these chairs they were already bought. Aren't they great!!? I love them, and they would go great with our bedroom...but alas, it was not meant to be...I have really bad luck with furniture sometimes. Ah well.

We had tons of fun on our little trip. We drove down Wednesday, ate with Magen and Micah that night, spent Thursday with Jenny and Nathan and Alex, Friday with Mom, Dad, Jillian, and Josh, and Saturday we went to the wedding and made our way home from there. Poor little Alex wasn't feeling so great, and was also a little camera shy...so I didn't get any good pictures of him....so you get him coloring and not looking very happy to have his picture taken. And the other picture is Rachel and Jono on their way to the vehicle. :) Aren't they cute!!? :) It was a lovely wedding, it was lots of fun to catch up with everyone.
