Our Beautiful 10 Foot Tall Tree

Isn't she lovely!!?

Jason's dad is getting married next summer and will be moving out of his place, and had two trees that he had planted many years ago and offered to cut one down for us for our Christmas tree this year. :) We've been very excited about it, and he brought it out to us yesterday, and it is 10 feet tall!! Good thing it wasn't any taller, cause it JUST fits in our living room. :) It takes up about half of the room, but that's ok.

We had bought a couple of boxes of lights at Goodwill, neither of which worked, so I ended up going out late to get new lights...and we got our garland super cheap at Salvation Army. :) I think it was about 10:30 by the time we finished decorating, but I love it, it's so pretty! ...and it makes our apartment smell wonderful!

Now I want to see pictures of everyone else's trees! (especially yours, Magen!)
:) Love you!
Joy.

The one that's half-lit and decapitated, or the finished product?!

It's so tall and pretty! And how cool that it's "home grown"! That was nice of him to cut down his tree for you.

We just decorated our tree today and Nathan put a nice little hole in the ceiling in our entry way with it. It was pretty funny. We both just cracked up. It'll be a nice memory down the road. We were pretty surprised that we didn't need any fillers this year. We had plenty of ornaments. We didn't even put any garland on. It looks pretty cool!
